Nonprofit Brand and Fundraising Benchmark Report

A sector-wide research effort to better understand how brand clarity and use impact fundraising confidence and outcomes.

Fundraising continues to feel harder for many nonprofits, even as expectations and demands increase.

At the same time, “brand” is often misunderstood, under-resourced, or treated as separate from fundraising altogether. This benchmark survey is designed to change that conversation.

The Nonprofit Brand and Fundraising Benchmark Survey gathers insights directly from nonprofit leaders to better understand:

  • How nonprofits define and understand their brand
  • How much time and investment brand actually receives
  • How consistently brand is used in communications and fundraising
  • Whether and how brand supports fundraising confidence and results

The findings will be compiled into the first Nonprofit Brand and Fundraising Benchmark Report, planned for release by the end of 2026.

Time commitment: Approximately 10–12 minutes

Confidentiality: All responses are confidential and reported only in aggregate

Who should participate: Executive Directors, development leaders, communications staff, and senior nonprofit leaders

Participants will receive early access to the final benchmark report, should they choose to provide their email address.
